I stayed the weekend at Chinatown Travelers Home and found it to be very reasonably priced given its location which is within easy walking distance of the Greyhound Bus Terminal and many of the main attractions in downtown Toronto. In some ways more Chinese than mainstream Canadian culturally but if you understand/respect Asian culture it is easy to get along with the people who run the place. If you just sleep there, it's fine. The funny thing is the security web camera connected to a TV in the hall. And it's perfectly achievable to disconnect the wire before any camera catch you. Jérémy, from Canada ~ 31st Aug 2011

A reasonably clean house, blocks from Kensington market, and a 15-minute walk from St. Patrick Station.Not enough keys for room doors (we had to leave ours unlocked a few times.Also frequently overbooked.Not bad, though.I'd probably stay here again. James, from Canada ~ 30th Aug 2011

I have stayed at this hostel probably about 8 times and all I can say is that the quality of the rooms and service has declined a lot recently. During my recent stay, the bathroom on my floor was very dirty with an overflowing garbage can, women's hair stuck on the bath tub rim and on the bathroom floor, and old grey soap scum all over the inside of the shower curtain. There were also fruit flies in the bathroom and at leat one in my room. The table in my room had dried coffee stains on it. The David, from Canada ~ 11th Jul 2011
