For a stay in Madrid, this place works out pretty well. It's hot (no air-conditioning) and the rooms are pretty devoid of character, but for a hostel it's ok. Free internet in 30 minute blocks is nice, and they do have a fully stocked bar/kitchen. The breakfast is pre-packaged bread and cereal. It wasn't super clean but it was adequately so. Although overpriced, the location is probably the best in the city. For many, being 10 steps from Metro, the Gran Via, and having a balcony view may be worth the cramped rooms and truly ridiculous price of US $86 per night for a 2-star hostel. Alexander, from USA ~ 14th Apr 2009
