The only reason I gave a lesser score for security was that the front door was open when I arrived at 8am with no staff on the premises. I was incredibly tired so I was ultimately very grateful for this as I fell asleep on the couch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostel Dioklecijan. The place is clean, nice, very well located, and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Probably one of the best hostels I've been to !

Cannot fault the location, literally 2 mins from the centre of town and 5 mins from the spectacular waterfront. Rooms were the best I have ever seen at a hostel. Staff were great. I would have no hesitation in recommending to my best friend!

This was a great hostel to stay in, close to restaurants, shops, sights and harbour. Be careful with the instructions to get there, it mentions a fish market, but when we got there late at night it just looks like an open space with awnings. The staff where really great as well.

Hostel Dioklecijan was somewhat hard to find -- but the location in the heart of the walled city of Split is great. The narrow streets and small cafes nearby gave the hostel a lot of character. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan on staying here again!

The hostel is in the centre of the Dioklecijan Palace, but ask to find it because it is a bit hidden. Once you have reached it, the place is new, in perfect conditions, very recomended! Love Split!

The hostel was right in the center of Old Town Split. So it was easy to get anywhere you want to go there. The manager helped you out whenever you had a question, and she even taught you some Croatian words, which did come in handy when I was there. The rooms and the bathroom were incredibly clean. I would recommend this place to anyone!
