Hostel Galla dans Milan, Italy

A very clean and confortable hostel. A bit of a walk from the metro but not inconvenient. Shame there is no kitchen. Great staff, run by brothers who are very helpful. Angela, from Australia ~ 14th Nov 2009

A good place to recommend. Very good ratio quality/price for Milan. Very tidy and perfectly clean; good hot shower. But only for sleeping, since there is not a youth hostel (no kitchen, no breakfast, no common room, no TV, etc.). One suggestion : a micro-wave could be helpful. Staff is OK but can be noisy on football nights, since all their friends seems to show up then, so try to avoid the 3 rooms near the reception. Easiest way to get there is to get the green-line n°2 subway towards Ca Normand, from France ~ 12th Nov 2009

Best thing about the hostel was the friendly and helpful owner and staff. It was very clean, quiet, convenient, and overall a very good experience. I will definitely stay here again! I'm really upset with the way I was treated when I just asked if it was possible to have an extra bed in my friends room, since I didn't feel safe to leave my personal belongings in a shared room with strangers. The man at the reception was extremely rude, he said it was my problem where I wanted to sleep and that he could do nothing about it. If he had just said "no", I would've understood. I would definitely stay here again. The place was very clean and the staff was very nice. They are located about a 5 minute walk from the metro station. They provide you with a towel and shampoo, where most places I stayed at did not offer those amenities. The hostel was quiet and roommates were very respectful.
