The mosquito nets were definitely a plus! Also Martin is a great help with area attractions and right when you check in he gets you oriented with the area. Also sends a very informative and helpful email right after you book with him. Kimberly, from USA ~ 25th Jan 2012

Not impressed. Only thing we liked about our room was the AC. Thin mattresses on the floor, no garbage or tables of any kind in the room. One toilet and shower (together in same room) shared by 8+ people. NO computers for use (although it advertised). Had to pay extra at internet bar. Location not great either. 10 minute walk to the river, but at night very creepy. As 2 girls we never felt safe walking to or from our hostel at night. However, staff WAS kind and helpful so that was good. Anna, from USA ~ 30th Jan 2012

Martin the owner is a fantastic person and made you feel very comfortable no matter how stupid your question seemed to be. He is very knowledgeable about the area and can give you all sorts of tips and information. The other staff members were also very friendly. Location is fantastic since it's close to the night market and the riverside. The hostel offers a range of different services but the rooms and the beds are rather average... Very affordable and nice hostel. Elin, from Sweden ~ 13th Aug 2011

The breakfast is quite expensive, almost the price of a night's stay. Better walk about two blocks to the buffet breakfast, unlimited breakfast for only USD 2.75. Lukas, from Netherlands ~ 20th Jul 2011

Clean! Even the men's toilets are clean. Staff is very friendly and nice. Martin, the owner will try to help you with anything you need. Ambience is sort of urban, the front "lobby" is a nice place to sit and have a delicious meal, (all meals I had were excellent) but it opens onto the street and isn't very picturesque. It's perfect for while in transit, but not as a destination in itself. Walk about 10 minutes to the riverfront. Akemi, from USA ~ 23rd Jul 2011

Owner is an expat and is very helpful. Full of good advices what to see and how to survive. Mekong trip sold at their desk is very bad. "2 days Mekong trip" means 4 hours in boat and rest in the bus. Grzegorz, from Poland ~ 26th Jul 2011
