Location is great (just off 2 main trams), directions to facility are poor. The hostel is boring, but free internet and cleanliness major plus. Additionally, it has an excellently stocked kitchen, and location has history. Very good price considering the overall price of Helsinki and people of all age ranges stay there.

A great place to stay. Big, and busy, but well run, safe, and clean. Tram stop for lines 3B/3T are about 300m due north of the hostel, or you can also catch even more tram lines near the Opera House, about 500m south of the hostel.

Showers seem to have an odd tap/shower system which does not work very well. Other then that, comfortable beds and interesting sights, very worth nipping round the corner to go up the Olympic stadium tower for a birds eye view of Helsinki for only 2 euros.

it's a dormitory.
if u want, u may prepare padlock and key to keep your goods safe. its facility is OK, its kitchen is wide enough to cook for 4 team at the same time.( although there were a few flies.)
its free access to internet is good. there is no elevator.

The hostels is a little far away but with public transportation i is not that far. The only thing is that the lockers are not free, come on ! in almost every hostels i have stayed the locker are free.

Great Value and a cool venue. Walking to the tram is the only annoying part, and that's beacuse I got a ankle injury. Otherwise, don't even look at any other place. Its so nice and cheap in a damn expensive place.
