Everything in Santo Domingo was very expensive. I expected third world prices in a third world country but that was not the case. Hotel Freeman's prices were 'average' for the area. There was no room cleaning although on Saturday (after I had been there four days the cleaner did open the door - without knocking - and I sent him away as I had been sleeping. cant beat location,and the nice terrace is good for resting and socilaising day or night, while watching lige go by in the street below. you can get beer from the colmado downstairs and breakfast form a baker down the street. theres always peopole in the street so its safe. bad side: heards of tourists passing by, expensive (and bad) cafes and restuarants nearby. best booked through the net since there is no price list on arrival and they ask whatever they like. the bed was awful and really m maria, from Spain ~ 23rd Feb 2011
