I have only good things to say about HOSTEL INN TOURIST. The owner was there to provide us with maps and welcome us to the space. The place was clean, private, cozy, and perfectly located in the middle of it all on Rue St. Catherine. As mentioned by others, the perfect spot for a couple. JAK, the hostel owner/ manager was *VERY* nice and extremely helpful. He was understanding when we called to say we were stuck in traffic and would be late, and even suggested an alternative route.We had a problem with our AC the first night and he was very quick to come fix it and even brought us an extra fan for our room and cold drinks in a cooler. We found the bedroom very comfortable and appreciated the private bathroom. We also loved the view from the patio. The only thing is: we did not Rebecca, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2009

The guy who runs the place (JAK) is awesome! He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and knew everything about Montreal. His advice was spot on - and he recommended several things that saved us money and time. The hostel itself is extremely well appointed and VERY clean and tidy. Believe me, I've been to a lot of hostels and this ranks in my top three experiences, easily. I would REALLY recommend you stay here if you get the chance. Matt, from USA ~ 16th Aug 2009

great little hostel, if i went back to toronto id most definetly stay again. more suited to couples then singles but great location and setup.
He means Montreal and not Toronto. :-)

A perfect location. Easy access to everything. Room #2 (and maybe 3, i forget which was adjacent to us) have access to a terrace with table, chairs, and umbrella, which makes for great late-night people watching.
