Excellent location just in the middle of the gothic area. Staff avalible 24h and very friendly and helpfull. Commonroom, kitchen and dinnerroom are OK and a good place to hang out and make friends. Lockers in the doorms. The hostel is clean and well functioning. My only complain is that there is only one single toilet and that the light in there is only on for exactely 21 seconds (I measured it). But that is only a very minor issue. This is probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Friendly, English-speaking staffs and the location of this hostel (near Cathedral and less than 8 minute walk to La Rambra) made it very convenient for short but busy stay. I was 3 nights and the hostel was perfect, they have a great location, the staff is so helpful, they have lockers in the rooms and also offer a good breakfast for just 2.5€. Great option!! pamela, from Mexico ~ 13th Nov 2011

I didn't care for the way the bathrooms were setup as the showers, sinks and lights were all on push timers that were much too short.However, this is obviously a very mild concern as everything else was excellent.It's only 2 blocks from the Jaume I metro stop so it's very easy to get to other parts of the city. Nothing bad about it, just didn't have a special vibe. It took a bit of effort to meet people, nobody was super outgoing or necessarily looking to make friends. We made a reservation for three nights andI and my friend had to be seperated on the first day and my friend's bed was not clean. On the fist day I stayed in a dorm andnutas quite noisy at night. On the second day we dad to be moved to another building in order to get a double roon which we made a reservattion in advace but the key deposit was 50 euros andlkyven didn't woked. Friend and I stayed in the apartments.Worst hostel we've stayed at in our last 3 summers travelling, mainly due to poor customer service.The sheets and pillow cases were obviously not washed since there were crumbs, hair and dirt between the sheets. When we approached the owner and an employee, they accused us of lying and fought with us about it. Bad service. Unhygenic. No wifi in the apartments. In the building were there are double rooms, there was no wifi-connection, wich ment we had to walk over to the hostel to check mail etc. Only 3 minutes walk away, but still I would have liked to have internet there. We had no trouble with noisy neigbours. Only 3 couples shared the flat we were in, so it was really nice and quiet all the time. I will definately come back if the get wifi connection!
