Exactly what we were looking for; a bit large but definitely had a nice "ryokan" feel to it. Close to Gion subway stop

nice sized room, it was cleaned each day i.e bin cleared out, new hot water jug each day, had a small fridge which was good to store fruits and water.

Beautiful ryokan, lots of character for a good price. Staff very friendly for the most part. Good mix of Japanese and gaijins. I really recommend it if you're staying in Fukuoka,

The hosts are really nice, breakfast is ok compared to other ryokans, but the room i had needs a renovation, seedy carpets on the floor all over the house.

building over 100 years old so lots of character. staff friendly and facilities clean shared bathroom facilities no problem onsen great and hot although water was low in the morning so had to have a sit down wash down instead of both. recommend to others

I was very impressed with my room and the service at this ryokan, especially for the price. The staff even helped me track down the phone number of a friend in Kyoto.
