There are two kitchens, there is complete equipment in the downstairs kitchen and the upstairs has basic equipment (no toaster and some things like a beater). Overall the basics are good but there is nothing fancy at this place. Peter, from Australia ~ 13th Jan 2012

The pickup from the airport is really useful and easy. What a friendly place to stay.If you don't get chatting to others its you're own fault as the staff are or have been travellers themselves.The atmosphere is very relaxed and the knowledgable staff are really helpful. Free pick-up from airport & daily free shuttle to supermarket is a bonus. WiFi is expensive compared to other places, NZD15 for a 24hr access (It's only NZD6.50 at Jailhouse Accommodation). However, the front-office were manned by staff/volunteers who are foreign-nationals who did not know much about Christchurch & clueless about ways/costs to go to tourist spots nearby, a big disappointment.
