Conveniently located downtown near the bus and train station as well as a big supermarket Cindy, from Singapore ~ 15th Oct 2011

We enjoyed our stay at La Belle Planete Backpacker Hostel. The price was reasonable, staff was helpful, and the other guests were friendly. The only negative thing was that the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable and make a creaking sound every time you move. Being at the bottom of the hill we were a little bit outside the center, but very walkable to old city and streets with restaurants, bars, and nightlife - just a lot of uphill walking. Overall I recommend this place Hill, from USA ~ 12th Oct 2011

Really close to the old city and the neighborhood has everything you need. Nice facilities, with places to sit outdoors. Michael, from USA ~ 11th Oct 2011

The quality of the beds was very low the bedroom was not specially clean, and you could find surprises on the corners. The bathrooms got dirty very quickly it was not easy to take a shower without leaving everything done a mess. I think that it is very expensive for what it offers, but it is also true that the prices in Québec are incredible. Fernando, from Spain ~ 20th Oct 2011

it's not a far walk from bus station and old city, and has a huge grocery store one block away. good price, although my one person private room only has a bumper bed... Xiaoting, from China ~ 28th Sep 2011

The guests are asked to check out befor 10 a.m. Taking into consideration that one can check in not earlier that at 3 p.m. it makes that you stay in the hostel shorter that a day... Radosław, from Poland ~ 26th Sep 2011

Close to the train station, good kitchen, good public computers, decent wifi, friendly staff. It was good. Abasi, from Australia ~ 26th Sep 2011

To be honest was very disappointed in this hostel, the first thing was the taxes get added on top, so not what you thought when booking on hostels.com, the other is not being able to book in until 3pm. Another is you cannot lock your room at night or during the day. We came in after being out all day and our door was wide open for everyone to see. The attitude of the cleaning lady was pretty sucky. But out of all the hostels on our trip, this was the worst one. Kristy, from New Zealand ~ 21st Dec 2011

The personnel is VERY rude and arrogant. Definitely not a nice thing for a business that claims to operate in the Hospitality Business. This hostel checks in only from 17H00 to 21H00 which is very uncomfortable times for travelers who arrive late at night. Very disappointing hostel this Planete Backpackers.
