J'y ai passé une petite semaine pour chercher un appartement c'était parfait. On croise du monde venant de beaucoup de pays, le personnel est sympa. Seul point noir : pour atteindre le metro il faut monter une petite colline et passé dans un tunnel piéton avant d'arriver au metro (sa va quand on le fait une fois par jour mais pas pour chercher un appartement) Antoine, from France ~ 6th Sep 2011

Having stayed at La Maison three times, I have to say that it's not as good as it used to be. There are 2 toilets and 1 shower for a dorm of 22 people and several privates. Instead of the cool and cozy air mattresses there are now creaky IKEA bunk beds... Basically, the facilities are not that goodso keep it mind. The place still has tons of character and good staff (though no night staff), the location is beautiful and the place is very safe.
Hmm interesting! We have and always had 2 showers! We took two weeks in january to remake one, that is comprehensible since there was mold problems. We always had 2 toilets. We always had Ikea bunk beds, and a normal matress is far better than an air matress for most people. We have made substantial investments in 2011 and the place is definitely much better and cleaner.

Great location - Vieux Montreal is very historic and pretty. Maybe not the "funnest" neighborhood, but it's close to everything. La Maison is small and can seem cramped when many people are there, but it is generally comfortable and homey. It was easy to interact with other guests but also easy to have your privacy. Staff was great! Only complaint is that the advertised WiFi was very unreliable. But would definitely recommend! Patrick, from USA ~ 13th Jan 2012
