These are appartements, so they have a nie view and are central, but cleanliness and peace and quiet were not there. marc-andré, from Canada ~ 24th May 2011

The hostel was all in all very good, although from some rooms you could hear what was going on in other dorms. It was warm and there was a constant concern on cleanness, although some guests did not respect that. I would add a rug in the kitchen because we could not clean the kitchen once we finished cooking. I loved breakfast and the wide smile of all the staff Maria de los Angeles, from Argentina ~ 18th Jan 2012

This hostel is in a great location and the staff was pretty helpful. My only criticisms are that the internet connection was pretty lousy and there are no lockers in the rooms.Regardless, I would still recommend this hostel to others. Scott, from USA ~ 20th Oct 2011

Pros -staff very nice and helpful -no curfew -air conditioning -small enough to meet lots of people -500m from metro -clean overall Cons -upper rooms (405) not nearly as nice as rooms on terrace -no security lockers in rooms -not enough lockers in lobby for everyone in hostel -internet in hostel very spotty would i stay there again- yes.but on a terrace room. The image they sell as being funky and fun really isn't true. There isn't a whole lot going on here at night. The terrace is nice, but you have to leave at 10pm since there are rooms right there and people will complain of the noise. Small rooms, but clean. Front staff is helpful with information on the city. Lockers are downstairs, not in the room, and our door had trouble locking. An ok hostel considering what you usually get in the city. There are major differences between the rooms. Few are extremely tiny, with three beds when it is actually designed for only one person. Other rooms are huge with four beds but with extreme convenience. Saar, from Israel ~ 22nd Sep 2011

Nice hotel overall. Room ok, but just ok. Clean. And the wi-fi was NEVER working! Etienne, from Canada ~ 20th Sep 2011

Clean, spacious, nice rooms. Location is excellent a block from Sacre Coeur and 3 blocks from metro station, another thing great is that there is a supermarket on the same street so you can buy food there and save money. Kitchen and common areas are totally different as they are shown in the pictures, but it is ok, kitchen is kind of old (something i think they can improve), nice breakfast. We loved being in Montmarte and steps away from the base of Sacre Croeur. We were also a block and a half from a metro, so it was very easy to get anywhere. The free breakfast and WiFi are always nice to have and Le Village had both. Katie, from USA ~ 6th Jul 2011
