Lucky Lake Hostel dans Amsterdam, Netherlands

I enjoyed my stay there, even though it was an unexpected experience. The hostel is about 15 min from Amsterdam Central by metro and the only way to get to the hostel is to be picked up from the stop at the station, but the pick ups are hourly, until 1 30 am, which ended up being late enough. Breakfast is slim, cereal, spreads, and the rooms are actually little RVs remodeled into rooms, everything is very clean and the place has a sort of campy (it is a camp site essentially) staff very friendly Boris, from USA ~ 11th Aug 2009

This hostel (and Amsterdam in general) is awkward to be at if you aren't there to get high. If you are there to get high, then it's a good place to be. I definitely enjoyed the rugged feel of "camping" rather than the normal hostel feel. Jessica, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2009

This was hands down the best hostel we have stayed in during our five week vacation across Europe. The scenery was beautiful, teh staff and accomodations were very nice on all accounts. Very hippy commune in stlye and laid back. I highly recomend it. James, from USA ~ 24th Jul 2009

We were soooo happy that we stayed here. It's outside of the city, but it was REALLY easy to get there. The lake and area near the hostel was one of our favorite parts of our whole trip (rent a bike!!). The city was so crazy that it was such a relief to come back here. The caravans get really hot during the day, but otherwise the rooms are clean. The staff is nice and there is a lot of common space. The only problem is the location. The shuttles from the hostel only run once an hour and they cost a euro per ride. Also the WiFi did not work which was kind of a pain. Lydia, from USA ~ 7th Jul 2009
