Cheapest place in town so you might as well stay here. No kitchen and they charge you to use the microwave. Looks on room dont work. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and it has a great view of the Matterhorn as you walk to the hostel. Akian, from USA ~ 12th Nov 2009

the people we were put in the room this were very inconsiderate. they were drunk and loud and came in really late. when someone asked them to be quiet, they answered "come on, this is a hostel". while we recognize that this is not the fault of the hostel because they couldn't possibly know who would be a problematic guest, it should be kept in mind that this is something you might find when you book a bed in a budget hostel. About security, there is none. anyone can enter this place without a ke Janepicha, from Thailand ~ 12th Oct 2009

The location is very good but my room was too small for 7 people and not easy to get to it with my backpack. A bit more expensive than the other hostels I've been to in the country and the worst... Claudia, from Spain ~ 28th Sep 2009

we had a nice time and zermatt is lovely. some drunk poles came in one night, flicked on the lights and began offering vodka to absolutely no takers. we heard a similar story from a guest upstairs. this results from the complete lack of security. but for the most part, guests were lovely and the accomodations were adequate. zermatt is very expensive and this is the cheapest hostel in time by a factor of two. Well managed hostel, with good to excellent cleanlines (June, not fully booked) Wolfram, from Germany ~ 6th Jul 2009

I really liked everything about this Hostel, but the beds/blankets. The beds weren't too comfortable but manageable, but the one blanked they give you is very itchy and not very big. The showers were perfect, and the wireless Internet actually worked, as did the TV in the downstairs lounge. The facilities worked well and were clean. I recommend this Hostel. Hostels in Zermatt are very expensive compared to elsewhere in Switzerland. Ruth-anne, from Canada ~ 25th May 2009

Rooms smelled bad and I would recommend having some single-sex only dorms. Victoria, from USA ~ 5th May 2009
