This hostel is fair for it's price. Staff is friendly, dorms are good. There is however some things that is on the downside. Our room was always moist nomatter how we tried to make it better. The shower sometimes took ages to get warm. (though it always got varm). The DVD player and Ps2 are broken beyond repair on the upperfloor. Internet is a little dodgy from time to time, and prices in the bar and resturant is unreasonble high. BUT that is all I can think of that is bad. Good premises. Good common room. Didn't like the staff, some don't seem to know what it's like to smile. Stuff keeps safe. Dorm is good. Location a bit behind the corner for first time comers. Recommended but, even though I didn't like the staff. Niko, from Finland ~ 10th Sep 2009

P. Loft had a lot of positives. The location may be a bit out the way for some compared with other hostels, but the advantage of this is the chance to live and stay in a real (rather than touristed up) Hutong close to some nice green areas and the Lama Temple. The staff are probably the most friendly and helpful I encountered in 5 weeks of hostelling in China and there are plenty of common areas in which to chat with travellers and staff alike. This hostel was wonderful!!!!! The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. Common room area was comfortable and had plenty of activities. My room was spacious for 6 girls, and the location was perfect! My only complaint is that it is kind of hard to find the first time, as the signs aren\\\'t clearly seen, and also our bathroom was constantly flooded. I will definitely stay here again!
