Nice location. If you book through hostels.com they will not have your booking so confirm before you arrive... I also had to pay extra since they did not have my booking, nor my pre-payment. Anyway, nice lady that runs the place. I could not close my windows so it was quite cold. Free internet. Breakfast included. Marcus, from Sweden ~ 27th Jan 2012

The Hostel is very good in an excelente location, but BE CAREFULL with the booking through this site. We reserved through hostels.com one month before and when we got there we did not have a reservation, we don't know who's fault it is. It was a BIG problem...we got only the second night in this hostel because the first night all of Quito was packed, they helped out with another hostel close by, but not as good. Loved it!The rooms and facility are just adorable and I loved the catwalks and spiral staircases to some of the rooms, adding character and charm! They don't speak much English, tho, but were pretty helpful whenever I could make myself understood. The location is great - easy walk to the happening tourist/restaurant/club area of Quito, but on a very quiet street so the best of both worlds! I was only here for one night from 10pm to 6am the next day so can't comment on how fun it is, but the hostel is in a great location close to the mariscal but not noisy, there is a security guard patrolling the street outside (not sure if he's from this hostel, another or something else) and the one member of staff I met was really friendly. We stayed here wtice and found it to be a nice, quiet and well run hostel.The owner will try and help you with anythng (no english spoken) and they provide a well run breakfast.We had to leave early and they helped us with early breakfast and transport also.Internet access / WIFI was good and plenty of local information available.Downsides would be uncontrollable water temps in the showers, lockers but not very secure and very poor / non-existent mattresses.Overall though a great deal for the mo Annabelle, from England ~ 31st Mar 2011
