Reggae Guest House 1 dans Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This was a great hostel to stay in, location was brilliant (one LRT stop from petronas building) and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were given discount at two nearby bars (one is beneath the hostel - a point to remember if you need an early night!!) which was a real bonus and made us feel really welcome. The showers and toilets are combined, which can be annoying as there are only two! Very clean and comfortable stay, would definitely choose this hostel again! Cara, from England ~ 26th Oct 2009

Nice place, very clean room and bathroom, staff efficient but not fun. A little bit expansive for an hostel and for chinatown, (really good hotel for the same price next street...) The hostel is quite OK for its price. I was surprised how clean it is - the bathroom, the room we stayed in. The location is not bad but it's not so close to the city center. but it is very close to a LRT station.The room we received had no windows and it was very small - this is OK if you don't stay more than 2-3 days. The air conditioning was OK also.The TV has only 2 channels : MTV and Eurosport :). In the night it is a little bit noisy - the noise is from Reggae Bar downstairs. The cleanest place in Malaysia. We stayed in a twin share and despite the lack of windows, the ventilation was excellent. Be careful of any raffles they run though. We entered one promoting the new hostel and it was an obvious SCAM. One of the backpackers won the trip to Bali but they took it off him saying it was a mistake! Not a good promotion for the new hostel! They compensated us with a bottle of Vodka and Burbon but I question the principle of it. Still a place I'd stay again though.
