One of the worse hostels I have stayed at. Maybe it is normal, but I have never had to make the bed before when linen is provided. Also, said linen had some red substance on it that looked enough like blood for me ask for new linen. The shower area was gross, but this may have been more a function of my dormmates than the hostel itself. Quite a distance from the nearest subway stop and not near much at all. Enjoy your stay Jay, from USA ~ 12th Nov 2009

Nice but dull. A fine hostel if you want to stay in Pudong and can sleep through construction work kicking off at 7 every morning. There's a strip of bars with decent happy hours and an ATM down to the left but otherwise you'll be needing the metro to get everywhere. Peter, from Ireland ~ 28th Oct 2009

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly for the most part- however they do not have any information on Shanghai, so come prepared with your own maps. Furthermore, the location leaves something to be desired. Emily, from Canada ~ 14th Sep 2009

Only stayed here for one night prior to outbound flight. Hidden Garden being the appropriate word here as it's located down the far end of a side alley in the Pudong financial area. It's quite a way from The Bund and Nanjing Road but taxis/buses are cheap and it's possible to walk to Oriental Pearl Tower area and riverside in about 20 mins. Nice clean, large rooms. Internet, TV room. Good escape from the noise of Shanghai, ideal for a last night as quite near to airport. Ok for kids too. KARL, from England ~ 17th Aug 2009

Easy to find - had more problems finding Metro Line 4 at the railway station! Good location close to the metro. Nice set up and friendly helpful staff Stephen, from New Zealand ~ 13th Aug 2009
