Very nice hostel with friendly and helpfull staff. The name says it all. The hostel is cozy and warm. The hostel is located between several busstops, which make it easy to go further in town. And the beers are jus 5 yuan!!

The best hostel we have been to so far. The location is ok and you can go by bus anywhere very easily. The dbl bed room is great. yotam, from Israel ~ 6th Nov 2011

Overall the hostel was ok.It is far from everything including the subway which is a pain. There is also not much to see around that area. There is a pretty good vibe though and the staff were helpful. There is lots of information on where to go and how to get there.Unfortunate that the location is so poor. Sims was everything we hoped it would be. The room was clean and neat, with a good bathroom and shower. All the details were right on. There were movies to borrow on a rainy night, a great book exchange, helpful travel desk. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The tours they organized were good. The restaurant/bar is a fun place to hang out. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. There were lots of areas to sit and get some quiet. Great hostel by any standards. Very social, profesionally run. Nice rooms, air conditioning that works, pool, table tennis, a nice bar with very reasonable prices.. pretty much everything a backpacker could want, except location. It's a cab drive away, and the Chengdu subway only goes along one axis bisecting the city, so it's not too helpful. Christopher, from Norway ~ 31st Jul 2011

We are a couple, who had a private room including bathroom. Good hostel, with great english speaking staff. All willing to offer a great stay in Sichuan. The Panda Tour as well as the Opera show organized by the hostel were great. They also offer to arrange groups for the rental of a big car for tourist trips (Tibet, Jiuzhaigou...). We could also rent bicycles to go around the city. We had access to lots of computers (8) and good internet connexion, and the price is very cheap(less than 1$US/h). Staffs are excellent at Sims. Facilities at Sims are excellent too. If it could be a little more cleaner, I'd choose hostels over hotels anytime. Elvin, from Canada ~ 28th Apr 2011

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Location was a little bit off from the city centre.

We LOVED staying at Sim's! The restaurant served delicios, cheap, huge meals, had free board games to play, TV and played international music. Our deluxe room was clean and spacious. It is situated close to the Panda sanctuary and within a reasonable distance to other interests. The travel and tours desk offered free information and maps as well as providing cheap group tours. We were impressed! Nicholas James, from New Zealand ~ 10th Apr 2011
