Big foreigner hangout in kunming- for better or worse. Lots of local expats actually come here to hang out. Dorm rooms very nice. Pricing cheap. Easy to find, but taxis from airport dont know well without chinese instructions. Staff are great, lockers are all electronic. Good coffee, but food and drinks here are expensive. From the airport almost everyone knows where this place is or at least the square it is located in. It is very centralized and everything is within walking distance. They are very helpful when booking tours and or directions. This place is very social and people love to drink, eat and have a good time. The rooms are great, Very clean as are the bathrooms and security is fantastic. There is a reason every book says this is the number one place to stay, and they are right. Awesome place!!! While facilities were quite good- bed was comfy and toilets were good, the noise level from outside the hostel and an overwhelming amount of mosquitoes made it quite impossible to sleep at night. The cafe's ambience was good and lively. However, waiters keep forgetting our orders or forgetting what food they were serving to us, which felt strange to us.
