The Old Presbytery dans Wicklow, Ireland

We've never meet a staff as kind as Mr Cullen and the others. It's the perfect place, if you just want to hike or see wonderful landscapes, but it's not if you want to reach Dublin... there's no buses (or, at least, we've never seen one in 10 days) and the train passes by Rathdrum just few times a day. We guess it must be an extremely comfortable place in summer, but you'll freeze to death in winter, since their heating system is... well... old.... and they don't use it... Family break. we had a room for 3 with a single bunk above a double bed. Our matress was extremely comfortable; our son's single bunk was less so. The wardens are keen to upgrade matresses if they are aware of discomfort. Our room was very cosy despite the bitterly cold weather. Elaine, from Northern Ireland ~ 31st Dec 2008
