it was vwry dirty!!! toilettes beds walls floors we didn't touch anywhere!!! when we are sleeping(6 girls) stuff opened our door with his card to give a blanket at 4 am!!! worst hostel i've ever see! ipek, from Turkey ~ 27th Sep 2011

Except from the location this hostel was the worst we've ever stayed at. The staff was awful and didn't care of the customers at all. We had booked a 10 dorm room and was woken up in the middle of the night by the staff making room for two more people so that we got to be 12. The new customers payed 12 euros less a night than us and we got woken up w/o excuses nor a refund for the broken agreement. So go to another place, there are several in the area! White Tulip wins with its unbelievable location right in the Red Light District. The rooms were too hot but the 10 beds mixed dorm was comfortable and the other guests very kind and quiet at night. Definitely a fantastic stay in Amsterdam. Charlotte, from Belgium ~ 7th Jul 2011

It got the job done. beds were squeaky and kinda uncomfortable. was in a 10 person dorm, luckily my aussie roommates made my time at the white tulip a lot of fun. Great location, close to lots of shops and activities. Fairly central, easy access from Centraal station. Too much noise for a weekend getaway... Not an ideal place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to enjoy your time. Room mates are friendly :) Great personal experience ^_^ Rolanda, from England ~ 29th Jun 2011
