They are still trying to repair the damage caused by the earthquake but were wonderfully helpful and extremely pleasant people. Once the repairs have been completed, I am sure this will be a truly great hostel Doreen, from South Africa ~ 3rd Jun 2011

In fairness to this hostel, it was recently hit by an earthquake when I was there (3 weeks after), which took out half the electricity, among other things. But that doesn't explain things like weird-looking towels, peeling paint, and other ways in which it was generally a shambles.
