Private rooms with heaters are cozy, didn't get towels though. Rooms lock and have own keys. Delicious breakfast with great view of the bay upstairs, very friendly and helpful owners showed us what areas of town to go to. Quite place, Great stay, we're on a boat! Melissa, from USA ~ 21st Oct 2009

You cannot beat this hostel for character, value for money and location. The cabins are small, but who spends all their time in their cabin when they are in Amsterdam? :) You can sit on the deck and watch the sun set over Amsterdam. Breakfast is also really good. really nice little boat..very cheap for a private room really. definitely worth a stay but not if youre looking for amsterdams party heart or loads of activities/funloving new friends. breakfast was awesome and when my boyfriend fell ill they did all they could to help. lovely! All we wanted from our hostel is to be close to the station, not expensive and on the boat:)) (coz it sounded very unusual). Vita Nova responded to all these requirements and we were quite happy with it, friendly innkeeper who explained us everything we wanted to now about the surroundings also added to the atmosphere. The rooms were very small and not special at all, but if you come for a few days just to see Amsterdam, that's quite sufficient. Elizaveta, from Russia ~ 9th Oct 2009

This hostel is really nice, its the only one we managed to get with a private room for two people thats why we got it. The location is good, but could be better. The rooms are super small, but for that price you can not get something better. The bathroom is very small as well, but its ok. The breakfast is really good¡ Ryan, from Malta ~ 4th Nov 2009
