good location, far enough away from west street to let you get a quiet night's sleep but an easy walk to restaurants and shops. Not much in the way of a common room to meet people but free wifi in reception and the rooms was useful. Sometimes the bathroom had a bit of a drain smell but that's not unique to this hostel and is probably more to do with the city drains. This hotel was one of the nicer ones of my stays in China. The rooms are very nice and spacious and the personnel is very helpful regarding questions about sightseeing or trips. There are only 3 rooms in total, so it might not be the best place to meet new people. But for a quiet stay I can definitely recommend it! Karl Hans, from Austria ~ 22nd Sep 2009

Love Staying here. 2nd time. Clean and a great location. A little farther from the cafes (5 min walk) but really quiet and lots of places to eat cheap chinese around as well. Staff is very helpful and can arrange anything you want to do through the hostel Megan, from USA ~ 27th Jul 2009

The room is very clean and the staff are so wonderful! The hostel is close to public bus station - convenient for single traveller who cannot ride a bicycle ^^ There are lots of minimarts and restaurants around as well. Anchalee, from Thailand ~ 1st Jun 2009

this is 5 minutes walk from the bus station, maybe less, and 10 minutes minutes from the main tourist West St. So quieter and more local stuff nearby, like the open market, all night market, etc. I liked this hostel, rented their bike and used their info.
