It isn't the cheapest - but most things in Zurich are expensive anyway. If anything, I'd definitely pay a bit more to stay in this hostel again. The breakfast was great - a good variety of cheese and ham, among many others. The staff was very helpful, and they offer swiss souvenirs (swiss army knives, etc) at good prices, as well. It's just weird that there were older people and families in the hostel... it wasn't entirely "youth". But our roomies were our age so it was all good. Mikaela, from Philippines ~ 12th Jan 2012

Incredibly far from everything you might want to see.For the very expensive price (only a little bit cheaper than a hostel downtown), you get. . .nothing in return. You will be forced to make your own bed, though. The money you will save by staying here will be spent on the very expensive bus and tram rides just to get where you need to go. Don't stay here. Brian, from USA ~ 22nd Sep 2011

The breakfast was amazing - better than that of a lot of hotels. The staff is trilingual, and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this hostel. Fabian, from Germany ~ 12th Sep 2011

Swiss style (clean, secure, a bit booring...) hostel, location a bit far from city center but with a reasonable walking distance from public transportation. Jukka, from Finland ~ 23rd Aug 2011

The location is just far from the center of JINAN-city. But taxi is useful ,not expensive. SHIGERU, from Japan ~ 23rd Aug 2011

The location is a bit out of the tourist area (which may be a blessing), however, it is very easy to catch a tram back into the city.I had a little trepidation regarding shared bathrooms/showers, but they were very clean and located very close to my room.As every hostel/hotel in Zurich is exorbitantly priced, this hostel is certainly one of the better options.Be sure to bring your Hostels International card or be prepared to pay another six Francs per person. I think that this was an exceptional example of a youth hostel. The rooms were large, clean and had a locker in the room.It was not the closest to the city center, but it was a short ride on the tram. They also gave great directions on how to get to the hostel. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great for a free breakfast. There was also a great mix of people in the hostel.Yes, there were some older travelers and families staying, but overall, it was a good mix and the people were grea Megan, from USA ~ 24th Jul 2011
