Maison de Laura is a traditional long farmhouse built in 1876. The barn was once used to store and make wine but has since been converted into two individual Gites...Bed and breakfast guests stay in the main house in the charming bedroom with its antique bed. The room also has tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge. The private bathroom has a rolled top bath and hand held shower. Linen and fresh towels are supplied. All guests will find a warm welcome at Maison de Laura where we blend the luxury and comfort of a good bed and breakfast with the warm friendly and personal atmosphere only achieved in a family home.

Maison de Laura is situated in a valley 20 minutes north of Carcassonne in the foothills of Montagne Noire in the small village of Salsigne. There is a local shop selling most items including fresh bread and croissants. We are within walking distance of the Cathar castles of Lastours. The historic walled city of Carcassonne is 30 minutes drive away and 15 minutes to the canal du Midi where you can take a boat trip or simply walk along the canal banks.

In Carcassonne on a Saturday there is a market selling local produce and often live music playing which all adds to the atmosphere. It is ideal for walking holidays as we are in the heart of the countryside but you really need your own transport to reach us.

Please note Maison de Laura has a no smoking policy in the house but you are welcome to smoke in the garden.
