The best hostel in Glasgow! But don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself. We are situated in the heart of Glasgow's historic West End and act as an excellent base for discovering the city's art galleries, glorious architecture, friendly culture, shopping and fantastic nightlife.
We believe that we've created a seamless blend of old and new by combining the stunning, original architectural features with en-suite rooms, Internet access, excellent catering and self-catering facilities, TV room, games room and guest laundry
We carried out a comprehensive refurbishment in 2004 and have since been awarded 4 stars by Visit Scotland. We constantly strive to offer our guests the best possible standards in the following areas:
Warm Welcome - provided by our International and multilingual staff.
Security - We use a secure swipe card entry system and have a comprehensive CCTV system.
Cleanliness - We dedicate a minimum of 12 hours to cleaning the hostel 365 days a year!
Comfort - We have 3 large lounges for you to relax in and don't forget our cozy coffee shop!
Privacy - All of our rooms are en-suite so there is no need to wander the corridors in your towel looking for the shower! (Please note: for additional privacy our dormitories are single-sex).

In a residential area and really hidden. The building is awesome and really warm. Book here get free continental breakfast tickets, which is a good breakfast. Have to pay for internet £1 an hour wifi/pc. Staff very helpful with directions and information. Laundry cheap and have a drying room which saves money at the dryer. 3 Large common rooms, large efficient kitchen and dinning area. Large lockers in the rooms and larger lockers for luggage. I love YHA Scotland. It's a large organization where the large hostels such as the one in Glasgow keep the smaller ones on the Highlands and Islands running. So this hostel is a great base to organize the remainder of your trip in Scotland.. It lacks charm, but the building and location of the hostel are great. Staff helpful and I still can't believe that they got a property in the most expensive and exclusive part of Glasgow. Only thing lacking is a good library and area to meet other people.
