Au sujet de The Bird's Nest

Adresse: 32 Deptford Church Street, London, England
The hostel is located above our public bar/pub which is one of South London's most popular, vibrant music venues. We often feature bands from all over the world and pride ourselves on our live music entertainment which varries widley in terms of genre and is performed live on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. If you enjoy watching bands, having fun and late nights then this is the hostel for you! If not it may be a bit too noisy for your taste...

The attached bar offers entertainment, including some live music, art exhibitions, comedy, cabaret, film and theatre showings and more. There is also a pool table, and a selection of fine beverages. Free tea and coffee is available to guests 24/7.

It has been said that we are a bit 'scruffy around the edges' but the up side of this is, character, fun, a warm welcome and a non-sterile attitude towards our guests and their stay.

There are close transport links to many of Londons major attractions including The West End, Soho, The London Eye, Canary Wharf, East Londons old dockyards, The 2012 Olympic Stadium and The O2 Arena. There is a 24 hr bus service that stops just outside The Hostel, making The Birds Nest the perfect place to explore London and beyond.
We are also a short train ride away from The Kent countryside, known as Englands Garden.

Local attractions include The Royal Naval College, Greenwich Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory, The Meridian Line which is the dividing line between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, St Nicholas Church, aka The Jolly Roger Skull and Crossbones, Goldsmiths University, The Laban Contemporary Dance Centre, The APT Art Gallery and Creekside which is home to SE Londons artistic community, and many green parks including Her Majesty The Queens, Royal Greenwich Park.

The Bird's Nest is an 8 minute train ride from Central London in the heart of South East London's historical maritime community of Deptford, wedged between the scenic Greenwich on the River Thames, and the bustling contemporary cultural centre of New Cross.

Never seen this before! Could not believe they are allowed to rent these rooms, the whole building is going to collapse within this and a few months! I can not believe that a site as hostels.com promotes such ruin, I took pictures if you do not believe me, I really want to share these! While wesleeping, part of the ceiling came down in the toilet and was spread all over the place! Annelies, from Belgium ~ 3rd Aug 2012

The sketchiest place you will ever see in your life. In the ghetto of London. Rooms and showers are disgusting. Service is horrible. I didn\'t even stay there because nobody would answer the door or the phone. This place sucked. It should not be listed under hostels in London. Pruthvi, from USA ~ 18th Jul 2012
