Situated in the heart of Melbourne's Central Business District, the Melbourne Connection Travellers Hostel offers accommodation for backpackers and all other visitors to Melbourne in a variety of sleeping rooms. We have dorms of all sizes, double rooms and twin shared rooms.
Whichever you choose, our emphasis is on 'value for money.'
Our management and staff strive to provide the budget conscious traveller with a high standard of cleanliness and comfort in modern, informal surroundings. Staff are always ready to help with any problems and offer advice that may make your stay more enjoyable. We like to think of it as 'no frills, but great value'.
Our central location enables travellers to reach all of the city's attractions, sports venues and village precincts, either by foot or a short tram ride. Bus, rail and air terminals are within easy reach, as are Melbourne's famous shops and nightlife.

Our doubles have a comfortable bed, linen provided, storage and wardrobe space. They offer a high level of comfort and privacy at a very reasonable price.
Our dorms are cheap & cheerful offering great value accommodation in our clean, spacious shared rooms, perfect for making friends. 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 bed dorms available.

The staff and location were the strongest points. I\'ve stayed at different hostels and i\'d say that no free internet access/having to leave your keys to borrow a cooking pot is ridiculous, no free breakfast unlike other cheaper hostels. Very dirty rooms and bathrooms when we arrived. Much noise from at party held the first night we staied there. It is the worst hostel i have staied in the 4 month i have been traveling around New Zealand and Australia!!! Bente, from Denmark ~ 31st Mar 2009
