Hostal Doña Esther
Dona Esther is a colonial style small B&B in the center of Otavalo, very close to the Saturday market, shops, the central park and even the brand new train station. You will be surprised when you enter our hotel from the busy street and meet our inner courtyard and restaurant on the ground floor. On the first and second floor all the rooms are located around the inner courtyard, all with private bathrooms. And on top we have a small apartment, fit for 2 adults or a family with small children. Our roof top has nice views on the surrounding mountains: the Imbabura and the Cotacachi. At night you can see the church behind us light up in various colours.
Our restaurant Arbol de Montalvo offers a variety of innovative dishes, all with the use of typical Ecuadorian products. We also have our famous pìzza, made in a wood burning oven that also warms the restaurant. Opened for dinner Tue-Thur, Fri-Sat-Sun opened all day. Monday evening closed.
Our rooms are warmly decorated and all have a private bathroom with plenty of hot water. All rooms are situated around an inner courtyard full of plants. Our well known and attached Restaurant Arbol de Montalvo serves Mediterranean dishes with an Ecuadorian touch. Children -10 stay for free in their parents room.
