Tattva Design Hostel has been inspired from the Sanskrit word meaning Element, representing the five elements from which life evolves: Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Sky.

Tattva Design Hostel has an unbeatable location in the 'heart of Porto', and is part of the 'World Heritage' protected area. 50mts away from the metro (which has a link to the Airport) and S.Bento train station, and 5min walk to the main bus line (Rede Expressos). Tattva is also close to all the main city attractions: Se Cathedral, Sao Joao Theatre, D. Luis I bridge, Ribeira, Clerigos Tower. The main shopping streets in Porto, bars, restaurants, supermarkets are all also very close. The best nightlife spots in the centre of Porto are a mere ten minutes walk from the hostel. Located in a quiet area of Porto, perfect for resting, but at the same time really close to Porto city center if you want to party...!

We believe that we've created a new level of comfort and intimacy in all our spaces, never forgetting a harmonious design aspect, and always with a friendly and informal atmosphere!. Two beautiful buildings have been recovered and totally refurbished to make the largest hostel in Porto - Tattva Design Hostel, with breathtaking views on the higher levels.

Tattva Design Hostel has 16 rooms and a capacity of 116 people in total (Female Dorms, Mixed Dorms and Double rooms), we are the largest hostel in Porto, ideal for groups but at the same time we provide a relaxed and comfortable stay for the individual backpacker.

Our rooms have: large orthopedic beds, individual curtains in each bed providing full privacy, en-suite bathrooms, good heaters and individual fans, free Wifi internet in the whole building, spacious individual lockers with free locks, key card access and wheelchair accessible.

For the sunny days relax in our fantastic outdoor terrace, and enjoy a drink from our terrace bar. Feel in a mood for a BBQ? Let's do it!

Check out our common areas: an outstanding aquarium lounge (3mts aquarium with exotic salt water fish), a cozy reading lounge, a fully equipped kitchen� but if you feel lazy, don't worry, have dinner with us in our Tattva Restaurant & Bar, where we serve delicious typical portuguese food as well as Porto's famous typical dish: �Francesinha�.
