Brian and Freddie are very good with directions around the city and great at organizing fun activities at the hostel. The location and price are the best in Ipanema!

I´ve never had so much fun in a hostel. The hosts, Bryan and Freddie are great, and the people here are awesome. The hostel organizes activites every night, which are as local and authentic as it gets. Samba club, street party in Lapa, Ja Rule Concert in the favela.. You cant beat the price (cheapest in town), or the location (one block from Ipanema beach) If you want to expereince the real Rio, dont even consider anywhere else.

I had a great time in Rio and being in this hostel helped. Cost is good, staff is excellent, owner knows Rio & gives great suggestions on activities. Hostel has good wall art, half inside half outside, and a community area to lie around and meet people, not the sort of "hostel" which is actually a hotel of subpar quality. Now, don't expect to be in the lap of luxury here, but it has all your needed amenities- bathroom, shower, sink, bed, lockers (mini-locks) lights, some fans, mirrors... but
