It is a bit expensive...

Great getaway from city life. However, without a car it is extremely difficult to get to. Beautiful area though. I would go back as long as I had a car.

This place was a 50 minute walk from the bus stop and is not very easy to find. If I had known this I would not have booked this hostel. Once I arrived, I discovered a brand new, very clean hostel and spacious hostel with great views. However, with no restaurants/stores nearby, I had to pay 3 euros for a can of minestrone soup-- what a ripoff!

A great hostel in a wonderful location! Seems just a bit too large for this kind of place.. But still, there's nothing that can possibly spoil the great view over the valley - and it will be even better, once all the greens have been planted around the hostel.

The staff was nice and the location was beautiful, but it was so far away that the cost of the bus, train, and cab rides to get there (all necessary) completely cancelled out the cheap room price. The directions on the website were VERY misleading--they said to take a bus from dart station and then "follow the signs on foot." That would have been impossible in the evening, let alone at night when we got there--it was so far down the country road even our cab driver got lost, and to get there by 9pm when the desk closes (not something listed on the website), we had to leave Dublin at 6pm, cutting our tourism short.
