Tidy rooms with fresh paint - a well-maintained property. No complaints, except you should know there is quite a bit of construction going on in the neighborhood (as with everywhere in China), so if you arrive by taxi, the driver may have a hard time getting you to the actual property's doorstep.

This was the first hostel i have stayed at and I loved it! It is very cute and cozy. The staff are very helpful. ONly thing- if you go in the spring make sure to take sweaters and scarfs, though the beds are cozy the hostel is quite cool.

The staff here are very nice. Unfortunately, language barriers or simple disorganization make staying here less than amazing. I booked a bed in a girls dorm room for 2 nights and they told me I had to switch rooms. Then, after packing up all my belongings they sent me back to the same room the next night. Also, I dont recommend their organized tours. You are likely to get a guide that doesn't speak English and overbooks the minivan. Most tours they advertise are easy enough to get to, and cheape

It might be useful to mention that the railway line runs right past the hostel. The trains are rather noisey. I stayed in winter. it was freezing. the AC never heated our room well enough and the entire building was cold. Even though there are AC units throughout all the common areas, only once in our 5 night stay was there one on - and it was only set at 12 degrees! I dn't think I was ever warm throughout my stay at the hostel.
