The staff were very friendly and very helpful - our bookings were mixed up but they sorted everything out and then helped us again when several crises unfolded. Cleaning routines a bit intrusive - cleaning staff came in uninvited when my roommate was changing. Cleaning went ahead regardless of occupant's activities/state of dress or need for privacy. Although I guess that's what keeps the rooms spick and span.

The plugs in the locker were great! The room was really clean and the bed comfortable. I would always choose that place again to stay in San Francisco.

Some of the receptionists were not very nice, not very helpful when I was in trouble such as the drunk swedish guy peed on my bed and the cold water not coming from the shower and I burned myself a little. Just saying "use another shower room" is not a perfect solution. First there should be an appology and they should say it'll be fixed or they'll check it out when they have time and all that.

This has to be the best hostel I have stayed in so far in terms of cleanliness and character. Its decorated really well, very modern and with marble sinks. Its also located very close to union square where you can find stores like Macy's. I am definitely coming back here!
