A great place to stay and meet other travellers. Great location. Have already been recommending this hostel to other backpackers in Japan!

i had a great time at this place, helpful staff, easy to follow directions, etc... only issue here is that they close the showers (there are only 4 stalls for the entire 4 story building) at noon, so you better get up early.

My friend and I had an absolute blast in Kyoto! Kiyo, Muruka, and Mariko at baKpaK helped us SO MUCH! I used to think that another hostel (that rhymes with "K-Boppers") was good until I came to baKpaK! Thanks again, and we'll be back!

our group loved the bAKpAK hostel! we stayed in both kyoto locations, which was wonderful because they are so close to one another! the location was perfect and we felt comfortable in our rooms. loved the free internet and tv in the 4 person rooms! best hostel we stayed in during our trip around southern japan!

The bAKpAK Hostel is fantastic. We stayed in a galaxy themed room with air con and it was spacious compared with other cheap hostels we have stayed in. Walking distance to Gion Shrines as well as manga museum and they even had free internet! Loved it.
