Spent a couple of days at Ecohun with some friends. Great place to stay for a break from running around in big cities. Great book selection, nice place to just catch up on some reading. Owners were very friendly, when you left you felt like a part of their eco-friendly family. If you are lucky you might get to milk one of their goats!!

Ecohun is great. It’s about an hour bus ride to get to the hostel from Pecs and is in a small village. You have a great view of the country side and the accommodations are top notch. You stay in a house with a great kitchen and lots of books. It is not ideal for going in and out of Pecs everyday but is perfect if you are looking for a little get away. Pecs can be easily seen in a day (or even half day) on your way out. The hosts are one of the best parts of the hostel and welcome you with goat milk and cheese. We spent two evenings sitting in their house drinking tea, chatting about life, and even watching some football. The mornings can be spent milking goats, walking to the village store, or wandering down the endless roads. It’s a great hostel and I would highly recommend it! (You can eat lunch or dinner with them for only 3euros and the meal is excellent.)
