Great place to stay if you want a peaceful environment away from the city center. I was looking for something closer to the bars & restaurants so the only downside was the location in my opinion (you have to take the U-3 and then catch a bus). Aside from location I thought is was outstanding and I recommend it!

I was sorely disappointed with many aspects of this hostel. I was a late arrival (which I did notify them of) and knocked on the door around 1 am. I was shouted at through the intercom as well as in person when the night staff finally took me seriously and let me in. They left me alone for most of the week I spent there. However, I had arranged to spend one extra night in addition to the four I paid for. They said it was fine and to let them know. I did. And was still kicked out. Apparently, because of several class field trips arriving, they couldn't move or spare a room for me. These Austrians did nothing to make the stay enjoyable. So, my last day I had to repack, checkout and travel across town because they couldn't accomodate me. Futher recommendation: HOSTEL RUTHENSTEINER was AMAZING! They were kind and warmly welcomed me for the one night I had to stay with them. I regret spending money at Palace even though the place was immaculately clean, bread, spread, and coffee for breakfast and beautifully located. I loved not being in the heart of Vienna. So...there you have it.

The lady in the reception started yelling at me for no reason when i first checked in. The rest of the staff was also rather arrogant and not very helpful at all. The location of this place is far off.
