This was a nice experience! The four-bed rooms are decent sized and share a bathroom, so overcrowding isn't a problem. The staff went out of their way to help me out with some computer problems I was having, and were friendly all around. There was a nice mix of people of different ages. The breakfast was great, too - especially in expensive Oslo, where buying breakfast separately would have added up.

First-rate facilities. A professional operation run by a real services corporation, not your average hostel operators.

Great breakfasts. Allow you to hold on the whole day through.

The service was excellent. I showed up in Oslo on a whim, and the guy working the front desk helped me find everything I needed, showed me routes on the map and gaving me tips for touring the city. He was even willing to help me buy a train ticket when they wouldn't accept my American credit card. The place is kind of pricy for a hostel, but you couldn't ask for a better location and staff, and everything's expensive in Oslo anyway.
