This hostel was a friendly, quiet after hours, easy to find resting spot. I will definitely stay here again!

Good place with a fair amount of interaction amongst the travelers. My room was a little messy from the other travelers, but nothing that really bothered me. The only real complaint is the laundry room/locker/smoking area which is not heated and it was cold in the winter!

The hostel experience was so much better than what I expected. I had a lot of fun and made some great friends. People were so friendly and Hawthorne road was an adventure itself. There's so much to do out there. I will defenately come back to Portland and when I do, I will be staying at the hostel in Hawthorne. The only thing I would like to disagree on is when they don't allow people to stay beyond 7 days. That rule needs to change immediately.
