We stayed in one of the private rooms in the basement and found it both clean and comfortable. There's tons of stuff to see and do within walking distance - like the Quartier Latin. There are tons of places to eat. The staff was courteous and friendly. Parking was a bit of an issue for us, since Rue Sherbrooke is pretty busy. The free parking is on the street, they don't have a special parking lot. No alcohol is allowed in the building either. After all, there are no telephones in the rooms (not expected) the door to the main entrance is flimsy and anybody walking in the main hallway that doesn't belong there could trap you in your room with no way for you to escape. Other than that, the staff was friendly and courteous. I would stay there but never book a room with two beds b

Great location and nice hostel. Some of the staff were a bit "arrogant" and snotty but one of the staff was a delight. Would stay here again.
