I have been to many hostels but this one seemed more a military dorm.. The place has NO atmosphere.. The internet is not free (and I was told for wifi they didnt even know if it worked by the staff) They charge a 6 Frank per night fee just if your not a member - I am a member but had my wallet stolen and still got charged. and they also have a bern tax which is on top of the booking value... If you want a bed this is for you, if you want some atmosphere look again.. It is close to the rive David, from Australia ~ 2nd Aug 2009

We enjoyed our stay here, nice clean beds and thank goodness for the soundproof windows! the staff were lovely and gave great advice on discount train tickets. There are a lot of stairs but the building is clean. Unisex toilets are a bit ho-hum but tolerable. showers were clean. it was expensive for what it is but zurich does tend to be so we were happy, considering the fantastic location.
