A lovely place to stay. It should really be called a homestay rather than an hostel!! Tian is a lovely host, he or his son stay at the flat all the time. You can lock the bedroom from the inside, but there is no lock on the outside when we go out. If you felt like you needed to then I'm sure you could put a pad-lock on there! Tian doesn't speak fluent english but enough to get by!! A good feel of what it is like to be in a chinese home! A short walk to the bus stop but plenty of places to eat! Tian's generosity & slice-of-local-life insight made for a most memorable homestay. This is not your run-of-the-mill "internationally homogenous" hostel as you will share space & time with Tian and his enterprising video-gaming teenage son. Note that the location is in a local residential compound away from the bus/train centers. If ok with this, you will value this stay. shao kuan, from USA ~ 12th May 2009
