Tropic Inn in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Upon arrival at this hotel, I was told my booking was no good because they sold out all of the rooms. The receptionist then tried to persuade me to stay in another one of their hotels which was NOT by the beach. When I pointed out that I paid a deposit, she brought me into a room which had a big sign that says 'We do not get any of the 10% deposit from Hostels.com.' in other words, if they can negotiate a bigger price for your room, they will give your room to someone else instead. When I arrived at Sri Lanka this was my first hotel. I had a dorm room, 3 beds, private badroom, verry clean, tv, ac, and a verry good breakfastbuffet (included). It is verry close to the beach. The staff is verry helpfull, Lasbitha is always smiling, so as the rest from the staff. Also the hotel has a verry good kitchen! At the end of my trip I went back for 2 nights.
