We've been two times in the Canaan, 3 nights in a new renovated room in the 15th floor, which was perfect. After a night in hua shan we came back with a new reservation via hostels.com but the staf wanted more moeney than we booked it for because of a public holiday! They can change the rates online, I hate the discussions at the reception after I booked something. In the second room the Internet didn't work plus there is no pool like in the description on this homepage. Bjoern, from Germany ~ 4th May 2011

Hotel...not a hostel, but if you book through hostels.com it's half the price.the receptionist asked us where we booked because it was so much cheaper. location is good, not great but xi'an is very cheap to get around.if you stay you need to go to the golden hans.its a german restaurant that is run like a brazilian steakhouse, 40yuan all you can eat buffet and meats.
