Hotel Orfeo is a combination of a hostel and a budget accommodation in the heart of Amsterdam centre. The hostel is in one of the best location right in the Leidseplein area. Next to the hostel you will find clubs, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and much more. Our hotel is clean, safe and fun. You can meet a lot of other backpackers travelling to Amsterdam. Our staff will give you a 5 star service. It will be a life time experience.
Some of the major attractions which are close by include Vondelpark, Museumsquare, the Flower Market, Dam square, Rembrandsquare, Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, The Rijks Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Madam Tussauds, Rembrandhouse and many more. Really worth a visit is Heineken Brewery, where you can try our local beer for FREE!!
From our central location you can easily access and visit other Dutch cities such as Haarlem to see its beautiful architecture, Alkmaar with its cheese market, the old fish harbour in Volendam and the experience the countryside in Edam.
We provide free internet access, kitchen use, free breakfast and no curfew in our hostel. Good breakfast with bread, eggs, cereal, milk, juice and coffee. Other services that the hostel provides for free are tea and coffee, walking tour, maps, tourist information and advice from our multilingual staff. Our international staff is young, dynamic and very helpful. Bicycle rental and laundry services are close by as well as a supermarket.
Unfortunately, we do not accept bookings for persons under 16 years of age or allow pets in the hostel. We accept cash only for payment on arrival.
A 5% city tax is excluded from the price. Cancellations must be notified by email only 72 hours prior check in date and groups must notify any cancellations 7 days prior to the check in date by email. Payment is in cash only and must be paid when you arrive. No shows will be charged for the total cost. Cancellations and modifications on and after the arrival date are also charged for the total amount. Please try come at the right time and if you thing you will be late, please let us know.
On New Years' (30th, 31st Dec & 1st, 2nd and 3rd Jan 2010) and Easter periods we require a 4 night maximum stay. Cancellations in this period must be made 14 days before the arrival date and not before arrival time. Late cancellations in this period are charged for the total cost.

We ask authorisation on the given credit card (not a charge), unfortunately we will NOT keep the reservation if we cannot get authorisation. You will be contacted by the hotel to ask the security code of your credit card.

When a booking is made by a person(s)( for 3 nights more) outside the Europe Union and a visa is required for the embassy, and the booking is used to obtain a visa. The whole booking will be charged to your card, so we will need a CVC (security code at the back of your credit card, this to guarantee your booking that you will be staying with us. You will be contacted by the hostel for information . this booking cannot be cancelled any more!!!!!
