Our comfortable backpacker's hostel has a friendly environment and beautiful surroundings. We're located in Banavie, two miles outside of Fort William, with great views of Ben Nevis.
Accommodation is in comfortable solid pine bunk beds, in rooms from four to eight persons.
We have free on-site car parking (and free over-flow nearby), a big fully-equipped kitchen, a TV lounge, a log fire for when it gets really cold and a BBQ area. We also have breakfast available, as well as towels to rent for £1.
Nearby you can tour the whisky distillery, take a walk by Neptune's Staircase or enjoy a drink in the famous Lochy Bar. Perhaps you want take a ride on the 'Harry Potter Train' to Mallaig! Come and enjoy this amazing hostel. You'll love it! We're popular with walkers, climbers and independent travellers.

These terms and conditions apply to OUR agreement with YOU, our customer, in our provision of accommodation services:
BOOKING CONFIRMATION & CANCELLATION
INDIVIDUALS:
Customers booking directly from the Hostelworld or Hostelbookers website will pay the agent a 'composite booking fee/deposit'. The remaining balance is due to, and will be charged by Chase The Wild Goose Hostel; in the event of late arrival (after 2100hrs) or 'no-show' the balance will be charged automatically from the payment card.
Customers booking directly from our own website or by phone will typically pay a non-refundable 'composite booking fee/deposit' of 20%. The remaining balance will be due to, and will be charged by Chase The Wild Goose Hostel on arrival; in the event of arrival after 2100hrs, or 'no-show', the balance will be charged.
ALL card payments (except VisaDEBIT or Maestro) will attract an additional 2% fee (min. £1.00) per transaction.
Card Expiry - If you pay your deposit with a card due to expire before your arrival date the balance may be automatically processed before the card expires.
Cancellation - If no less than 24 hours WRITTEN notice is received before the day of arrival, no further charges will be made by Chase The Wild Goose Hostel. In the event of partial cancellation, where written notice has been given, the booking deposit shall be set against the cancelled accommodation.
GROUPS OF 10 OR MORE GUESTS:
A non-refundable composite 'booking fee/deposit' of 20% is payable to secure a booking.
The full balance will be charged from the payment card automatically 6 weeks (42 days) prior to arrival.
ALL card payments (except VisaDEBIT or Maestro) will attract an additional 2% fee (min. £1.00) per transaction.
Card Expiry - If you pay your deposit with a card due to expire before your arrival date the balance may be automatically processed before the card expires.
If group numbers are reduced within the 6 weeks prior to arrival no refund will be payable.
Cancellation - if at least 42 days (6 weeks) WRITTEN notice is given before the day of arrival no further charges will be made by Chase The Wild Goose Hostel. If less than 42 days (6 weeks) written notice before the day of arrival is given the full amount is payable and may be charged from the initial payment card.
GENERAL
ONCE REGISTERED and when fully pre-paid, guests will have access to the hostel from 5.00pm until 10.30am on departure day.
LATE ARRIVALS: Guests expecting to arrive after 2200 hours, when Reception closes, MUST receive prior approval from hostel staff, when full payment will be required and a 'late arrival' charge made of GBP(£) 3.00 per person. If you have not arrived or have not contacted us by 9.00pm we will automatically process your payment card with any balance due. (NB. We are a Walker's Hostel and may also alert the Emergency Services)
STRICTLY NO ARRIVALS AFTER 12 MIDNIGHT - Arrivals after midnight will not be admitted and will not be entitled to a refund.
SMOKING is not permitted within the hostel premises. Guests found smoking in any building or outhouse will be required to leave the premises without further recourse or refund of fees
BEHAVIOUR - we are a hostel for walkers, climbers, outdoor enthusiasts and backpackers. We do not accept Hen or Stag parties. We really don't mind you having a few drinks, but if you expect to become heavily intoxicated with alcohol please let us know so we can redirect you elsewhere.
We regret we are unable to accommodate persons under 18 years, unless with adult supervision. Children under 5 years may be accommodated only with prior WRITTEN consent.
